Problem to solve: Alleviate common pain points for patients and caregivers who require visits to multiple specialists for complex illnesses

Solution: Multipurpose mobile app (prototype only) for medical appointments which records and transcribes appointments, acquires definitions of medical terminology which are saved in a personal glossary, and saves care instructions, prescription details, and doctor contact information.

Impact: This product, if developed, would help patients and caregivers retain details received in the doctor’s office so that they have accurate information close at hand when they are at home, and also be better able to understand complex diagnoses. This would increase the likelihood that care instructions are followed correctly, resulting in better health outcomes, and save both medical staff and patients time by reducing the need for follow-up calls to clarify information from the appointment.
